What you need to know as a Free Clinic Patient…

The Free Clinic is a private, non-profit organization supported in large part by the Alleghany Foundation. The funds used to operate the Free Clinic come from grants, donations and special fundraisers.  The Free Clinic exists because of the strong belief in the Alleghany Highlands community that healthcare should be accessible to everyone.

The Free Clinic is staffed almost entirely by volunteers.

The doctors and nurses who work at the Free Clinic are licensed professionals who volunteer their time.  Doctor's visits are scheduled by appointment only on 2-3 afternoons or evenings a month.
