Hospital Information

The Animal Hospital of Stuarts Draft was established on September 5, 1995 by Dr. June Cohron. The first clinic was located in a rented shop while construction took place on the present hospital. With the help of many good friends, the animals, supplies, and equipment were moved into the new facility on August 10, 1996.

For after hours, weekends, and holiday emergencies, call the Shenandoah Valley Regional Veterinary Emergency Services (SVRVES) in Verona at (540) 248-1051. SVRVES is open from 6:00 pm every Monday through Friday to 8:00 am the following morning and from noon on Saturday until 8:00 am on Monday. It is also open from 6:00 pm the evening prior to a holiday until 8:00 am the morning after the holiday. The service is only available for emergency care.

SVRVES is located on the corner of Route 11 (Lee Highway) and Route 612 in Verona. From Interstate 81, take exit 227, head west on Route 612 and turn north on Route 11 (Lee Highway). The hospital is located on the right side of the highway in the Verona Center near Rite Aid.
