Scheduling

Routine Scheduling:
We prefer to work by appointments, but will make every effort to see walk-ins as time allows. We accept appointments between 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 3:00 pm until 4:45 pm (6:00 pm on Wednesdays). If it is more convenient, we can also arrange to keep your pet for the day and perform the physical examination and laboratory tests during the day.

Medical and surgical procedures are scheduled Monday through Friday, with patients arriving between 7:00 and 8:30 am. Please realize that life-threatening emergencies take priority and remember that in the same situation, your pet would take precedence. 

At all times, every effort will be made to ensure that your wait is short and pleasant. We ask that clients coming to the Animal Hospital of Stuarts Draft for the first time arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment in order to complete the client registration form. You may also print the form and fill it out in advance and bring it with you to your appointment.

Urgent Scheduling:
We, as pet owners and lovers, certainly understand that animals can become ill quickly and it is difficult to know what is wrong, as they don't communicate with words. When you phone in for an appointment, please be patient as the receptionist or veterinary technician ask questions to determine the severity of your pet's condition and schedule you the earliest appointment available. 

Sometimes it may be best for you to drop off your pet so the doctor can examine it as soon as a short break occurs between appointments or procedures. The doctor will call you as soon as the examination is performed to update you on your pet's condition.
