JUDY'S GEMS

As a faith community, we are blessed and gifted with persons of deep and abiding faith and the willingness to work to bring about a better world for all God's people. Each of us has different gifts and when used together for the good of the whole, there is no limit to what we, as the Body of Christ, can accomplish. The I Corinthians 12 passage read in worship recently captures what Christ's Church should be all about:

'Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers;
then deeds of power, then gifts of healing, forms of assistance, forms of leadership, various kinds of tongues . . . strive for the greater gifts . . . '

We are the body of Christ gathered to praise, to pray, to worship, to learn, to encourage, to nurture, to support, then, to scatter out into the world to spread the good news that all may know the love of God through Christ Jesus.

Let us be the church ~ Open Hearts ~ Open Minds ~ Open Doors ~ as we welcome seekers, strangers, neighbors, colleagues, friends, family, the unloved, the lost, the lonely, and the believers. It's what Jesus would do!
