Other Bike Stuff

Bike stuff that didn't fit the other pages yet.

This is the previous bike, a 1990 Yamaha Virago. This was a solid bike, had DD HardKrome pipes, ran very well.

That bike was dark purple with a nice flake, but needed some dressing up. During the winter, this bike was taped and flamed.

With the help of the brother-in-law during a break at Christmas dinner in shooting the clear, the flames were completed. This bike was later traded in for the Boulevard, the stealer listed the color as "Flamed" and it was sold locally. I've seen it around since and although I haven't seen the new owner, the flames are still intact and still look good.

July, 2007 One day my Garage Helper Boy's son noticed an old bike at CTVMotors that sported a set of ape hangers. The son and I discussed the design of a set of apes we could make out of chain for his OC Chopper bicycle. Here's my boy welding the chain to make 18" apes for son of GHB.

After several hours of zealous welding, the bars nedded some cleaning up. We used the air cut off tool and the angle grinder to knock the edges down as we finished up the handlebars

Here are the bars on the bike painted and buffed out to a gloss. We added a rod on the right side for the brake and left several links loose at the end of the handles as "tassels". Another product from the fine folks at CTVMotors!
