ddc's Ferguson Tractors, Page Two

Here's my Ferguson next to the garden. The tractor got a paint job since this picture was taken. The original color is "Ferguson Gray" that is shining through the red in this picture. It also has an aftermarket seat installed for that sporty look. Nice huh?

The tractor is used mainly for pushing snow in the winter and incidental grading. There is a bushhog that I use periodically, but the tractor really doesn't have enough PTO torque to drive the 'hog like it should. (It's rated at 20 hp but that was 48 years ago!) Since I've had the tractor I've put a radiator, water pump and new rubber and rims on it. When the starter goes bad I touch the wire from the starter to the battery in order to start it. Currently I have a new starter, its 3rd in about 15 years. Otherwise it's still OEM.

Another implement is a 5' finishing mower. Right now, its down as I search for a new belt. This mower works nicely, but as the hydraulics need work, and have trouble keeping a steady height, I don't use it much unless the ground is dry and I don't have to worry about the skids leaving divots.
