Darrell's Hiking Page

Ok, so a little about who I am

Originally from Arcola, Illinois I moved to Staunton, Virginia in 1992 after taking a job at King's Daughters Hospital (now closed). I'm presently working in the Information Systems department at Augusta Medical Center.

I soon discovered the abundance of outdoor activities available here in the Shenandoah Valley. I was a member of the PATC for a couple of years. Volunteering as a trail overseer proved to be a very rewarding experience (as well as a great way to get some aerobic exercise).

Most weekends I can be found either hiking, camping, working on a trail crew or cross-country skiing (when we have snow, of course). If you'd like to join in, drop me a note via e-mail.
