"Sophie"

Sophie's first dog show was the WCWDCA Sweepstakes and Specialty. She was in two 5-dog classes and won both! Until the day before, she had never donned a show lead!

Sophie's first /Group 1 Win!

Our little baby has grown up! She finished her Championship in May and has stayed out on the circuit being shown as a Special. To date she has 4 Sporting Group 1's, 2 Sporting Group 2's, 3 Sporting Group 3's and 2 Sporting Group 4's. November shows her being the # 16 conformation Weim and Dog News she is # 7 Weim, all this with less then 7 months of Specialing.

We sent the Soph's to Westminster this year and is that an eye opening experience for anyone who has never gone, with or without a dog in tow! It was one of those been there done that don't want to do it again experiences. I will write a page on it some day

Sophie finished off her show career at Westminster and came home to wreak havoc on the rest of the crew here! She made it to the number 2 show Weim in the WCA magazine for the month of March. We have the confidence that she could have been number one if left out on the "specials circuit" but we wanted her home. This is the most outgoing of any of our dogs and is a "joy" to live with. She is also turning out to be a very good obedience dog (it may not always be pretty but you can bet it will be funny, at least to everyone standing outside the ring!) and I hope to restart her tracking training this spring.
