Power Consumption of common Household

Devices

The below table lists approximate power usage of common devices found around the home. They are meant only as a starting place for calculating your total load on your home electric system. They are also helpful to give you an idea of what combinations of devices can be run on your generator at one time per given generator capacity. Power consumption varies with makes and models of devices. For exact power ratings for your household refer to the manufacturers labels on your devices. Most list the power of thier devices. Some list the operating voltage and current. To find the power just multiply VOLTAGE(in volts) x CURRENT(in amps). This will give you POWER in watts.
