GLENMORE FOUNDATION, INC.
(INCORPORATED UNDER THE LAWS OF VIRGINIA - December 12, 1997)
[By-laws Adopted and effective February 19, 1998]
PREAMBLE
The purpose
of the Glenmore Foundation, Inc. is to:
Promote and support
the conservation of wildlife, wildlife habitats and open areas for citizen enjoyment;
Educate the public on
conservation and wildlife and their relationships to the quality of life in Virginia and
particularly the Shenandoah Valley;
Promote,
educate and support all types of legal fishing and hunting and activities
ancillary thereto whether by organized groups or individuals; and
support and educate
the public in the uses and enjoyment of nature including the training of animals used in
such activities, including, but not limited to, the equine and canine species.
The Foundation
is a Virginia Stock Corporation. Currently there are over fifty-seven
voting stockholders holding from one to seventy-eight shares of stock.
The stock holders meet annually to elect a nine person Board of Directors.
The Foundation purchased real estate in 1999 and has leased it to the
Glenmore Hunt Club. This is consistent with the purposes stated
above.
