Teachers Who Inspire (TWI) Seminars
TWI Seminars are designed for faculty members from colleges and universities to join together to continue to learn about their students, discover creative ways to minimize problems and maximize energy and excitement, and share ideas that motivate their students to learn and excel.
While attending TWI you will learn the developmental issues unique to this population, what students want and need, and what motivates them. You will participate in mini-didactic sessions, witness demonstrations of strategies, and become involved in activities that build relationships, connect with students, and get students to come to class and want to successfully complete their work for you. You will also have an opportunity to share your ideas, innovations and inspirations with other teachers who inspire.
Learn to motivate students without sacrificing academic standards yet increase student satisfaction, success, and retention. Learn how to teach responsibility by designing firm but fair policies concerning attendance, missed exams, and late assignments and learn the “no excuses” technique for grading subjective assignments.
