ABOUT OUR CONGREGATION
· Morrison City Christian Church was established in 1948.
· We are a
part of a worldwide fellowship of congregations
which seek
to restore the Lord’s Church as revealed in
the New
Testament.
· We believe
the Bible is the inspired Word of God and it
provides
all we need to know about God and His will for
our lives.
· We believe
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the
only
Saviour of men, and the Lord of life.
· We practice
the "one baptism" of Scripture -the
immersion
in water of a repentant believer, for the
forgiveness of sins, to receive the Holy Spirit as God’s
assurance
of our salvation.
· We follow
the example of the early church and observe
the Lord’s
Supper every Lord’s Day as a simple memorial
to the
Lord Jesus Christ.
· We advocate
the unity of all Christians through faith in
Jesus
Christ alone, according to the Word of God, so that
the world
may believe.
· We seek to
spread the Good News of God’s love
throughout all the world through a dynamic program of
Benevolence, Christian Education, Evangelism, and Foreign
Missions.
· We are
content to be Christians only, but do not claim to
be
the only Christians.
· We believe
every Christian is personally responsible for
making wise use of their time, their talent, and their
treasure.
· In matters
of faith, we stand united; In matters of
opinion,
we allow the widest liberty: In all things, we love
one
another.
· We speak
where the Bible speaks; and are silent where
the
Bible is silent.
