1999 Camporee at Camp Covington

With no Camp Clifington day camp this year, the Clifton Forge-Millboro Service Unit held a one-day camporee at Camp Covington near Natural Well, Virginia.

Opening ceremony.

We made sit-upons and decorated tote bags.

 

We learned some new outdoor skills, including knot-tying, trail signs, nature scavenger hunts, and outdoor cooking.

We also played games, sang songs, waded in very cold water, and dodged raindrops.

Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts led most of the activities.
