Hi Christine!
I was looking for pictures of yin and yang, and I found your two cute
kitties Lewis and Clark. Thanks for making my day here in Southern California,
I've enjoyed reading about your life and locale.

You have a cool homepage.

Just wanted to say a quick thanks for your short, but fairly informative
description of Daphnia Toxicology. I am 17 years old, and my current A-Level
Biology project is to investigate the effects of aspirin and caffeine
on the heart rates of Daphnia. Your site was pretty useful as a starting
point, so thanks.
[Glad you found the Daphnia info helpful. It was a very interesting
experiment. Let me know what you found in your study.]

Hi you have a nice site. You probably took a long time to do this. You
all did a good JOB!!!!!!

Your Daphnia experiment was interesting, but when we tried it at college
we found the exact reverse happened! Its heart beat decreased the more
caffeine there was.

I wrote an article for the Australian Science Teachers Journal with some
serious criticisms of the candle under the bell jar experiment - especially
the doubtful science concepts which tend to be generated. I also offered
a change of approach which is conceptually more defensible.

I could e-mail you the text, but not the diagrams.

Found your page when doing a search on Triboluminescence. A friend of
mine back in Atlanta had shown me the life saver trick years ago and I
mentioned to another friend here in New Zealand and he was fascinated
by it.
Your page of science experiments would tickle most anyone's fancy.
Thanks for sharing.

Sue, I keep getting thrilled by your Tour of Clifton Forge. I already
have an entry in your Guest Book. I have not paid much attention to your
scout stuff because I thought it was all current stuff. However, I was
a very avid follower of Boys Scouts in Presbyterian Troop 2. I got to
clicking around and found Presbyterian Troop 2 mentioned. I clicked onto
the 1949 charter for Troop 2 and Lo and behold who was the Asst. Scout
Master: me-W.C. Frederick, Jr. I have already printed out a copy of it
and will frame it. Jack Manner, who still lives in CF, was the Scoutmaster
then. You may know him. If you do please let him know this; I am sure
he would enjoy it. I hope to see him at the CFHS picnic.
Bill Frederick, Life Scout
PS The only thing that kept me from being Eagle scout was merit badges.
That was a joke that any Scout would catch onto. I have many sotries about
my Scout Master, Garland Huddlestun (sp), who was very helpful to me.

I just discovered your home page today as I was procrastinating on the
grading of papers. All is well here, and as usual we are all busy. Come
visit New England again sometime. It would be great to see you.
Take care,
David

Troop 2 of Downingtown, PA recently registered the domain http://www.troop2.org/.
We are thinking about having a menu bar across the top of our page containing
links to all the other troop 2's with web sites. This would allow every
Troop 2 to use http://www.troop2.org/ as an easy to remember 'home page'
URL.
Are you interested?

Just you would like to hear from another Pack 2. My name is Greg Walsh,
and I am the Cubmaster for Pack 2 in Olympia, Washington. We have been
in continuous charter for over 29 years, (the pack was started over 60
years ago, but our charter was dropped a few times).
Why not drop on by:

I enjoyed your pages, especially the scouting pages. My husband and I
help with Pack 72. I liked the Pinewood Derby pictures! It's nice to see
what other Packs are doing. We have a Wolf and two Boy Scouts. My husband
leads the Wolf den and I'm treasurer for the pack.
