Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro - Singing Music of the Masters

Financial Details

Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro was incorporated in April, 1999, and has a nonprofit, tax-exempt status as a 501(c)3 organization.  We do not charge an admission fee for our two main concerts although we do encourage attendees to make a donation.

Members pay annual dues and are required to buy their own concert dress.  Schola holds an annual pancake breakfast during Waynesboro's Fall Foliage Festival and has held other fund-raising events.  Small groups of members are also available to perform in smaller venues around the area for a fee.  We also apply for, and sometimes receive, grants from corporations and agencies supporting the arts.

Other than the above, we have to rely on the generous contributions from local businesses and individuals, including many of our members.  Businesses and people who donate funds up to twelve months prior to a concert are listed on the program for that concert in the following categories:

Benefactors: $500+
Patrons: $200 - $499
Sponsors: $100 - $199
Supporters: $50 - $99
